#46… check {Photograph the Broncos with a sideline pass}
46. Photograph the Denver Broncos with a sideline pass.
But isn’t this better???
I’ve photographed every major league sports team with a press pass in Denver, except for the Broncos (came close twice). Which is why I added it on my list of my list of 101 goals in 1001 days. However, ever since I moved to Minneapolis I knew I wouldn’t be meeting this goal. So I gave myself a mulligan. A football photographer mulligan to shoot my nephew at one of his football games. I’ve got three weeks left until my self-imposed deadline passes, so I’m gonna see how many more I can check off before October 26.
I’m not a huge football buff, I confess. Heck, I don’t know many of the rules (turns out, the substitute NFL refs didn’t either). However, I do enjoy the perspective of sports through my lens, especially when a family member is out on the field. One of the perks of marrying into such an awesome family with kids of the sporting age.
And about that sideline pass…. turns out I didn’t need one. Or want one for that matter. I love picking up my camera and shooting for my heart without a cranky sports editor clamoring for my images before my head hits the pillow.
Like father, like son…
But who is standing in whose shadow?!?!
A game-winning high five with a October moon on the rise:
Good game, gentlemen!
Technical notes : All images taken with a Nikon D700 and a 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII lens, one of my favorite lenses for shooting youth football.
