Postcard from Beirut
First impressions are everything:
New York Times named Beirut, Lebanon as the top place to visit in 2009. It stands as one of the fastest growing cities in the world, and has been listed as among the most liveliest in the world. Signs of growth everywhere:This little one had a squirt bubble gun… yet machine guns and soldiers are just as common. Somehow in this jewel of the Middle East, we feel very safe in the comfort of friends. A little self-portrait: Ode to Colorado (CO) with comfort food. Sometimes foreground is just as important is the background. In terms of grandeur, the cars in Beirut are just as amazing as the mosques. BMWs, Mercedes, Porsches are everywhere.
