Year 14 of the Tomte series commemorates a sentimental chapter in the project: the launch of the COLLECTOR’S EDITION of The Tomte: Years 1-13. The project debuted at the Veronique Wantz Gallery in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 8, 2024 and the University of Minnesota Gorman Rare Art Book Library acquired the work, courtesy of the extraordinary Deborah Ultan. Hip hip hooray! This year tomte antics were inspired by growing children, a trip to Iceland, Pokémon cards, homemade fudge and cinnamon pecans, a “reading dog,” the loss of Ruby (our first fish), the 30th anniversary of Dumb and Dumber, kid art, powered coffee mugs, AI-driven Wifi bird feeders, advent calendars, and horses (of courses).
