Winnie & Colin {Larchmont Yacht Club, NY}
They met at a party in February their sophomore year. Winnie told her dear friend, Abbe, “I met a great guy but I’m going abroad in the Fall so I’m not sure it’ll turn into anything.” A few months in Prague didn’t deter Colin. Fast forward to their wedding reception at the Larchmont Yacht Club in New York. Abbe gave a warm, well-received toast at the reception. Afterwards, I asked her if I could share her words on the blog, as she was the most qualified person on the planet to comment on why Winnie and Colin are “perfect for each other.” Here goes:
1. They’re the same amount of messy so the home they make together while happy, won’t always be tidy.
2. They don’t sweat the small stuff. They are both incredibly easy going. They know what’s important and they don’t worry about the rest.
3. Above all, they’re friends first. Their love bloomed over a long time, during which they learned how to support one another and hold one another up.
Winnie and Colin’s Larchmont Yacht Club wedding makes me want to return again and again. “I really love this,” I commented to myself throughout their day. Not just for the scenery, but to spend more time with warm, kind people that grin from ear to ear, starting from the beginning of the day and extending well into the night.
