Renee and Justin’s took pride in their wedding planning. Renee, designed and coordinated her wedding details herself. Justin, a notable DJ, ensured the playlist and sound matched the wedding energy. When Renee sang a beautiful song at the reception, he made sure she had the perfect mic. After guests we enthralled with her reception performance, Justin beamed, “That’s my wife!”
These next two images are among my favorite two wedding images of all time. Inspired by painterly light, the stories within the photographs are as rich as the color and subtle lighting. You have to study the image to notice the subtle details that tell of the bride’s wedding story. A good photograph should raise more questions than it can answer. I believe these two images succeed at this goal while challenging the norms of “typical wedding photography” as influenced by my fine-art work. I hope you enjoy them!

In the shade of an old oak tree served a wonderful spot for family photos before their wedding ceremony at St. Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church in Minneapolis. While this image will be priceless in 50 years….
