Stephanie & Matt {Eden Prairie, MN}

She reminisces how they met on St. Patrick’s Day in St. Paul at an Irish bar. He beams with pride retelling when he proposed on snowy Aspen mountain. Yet their chihuahua “Hank the Tank” wasn’t going to miss out on another romantic occasion, so he joined us for this engagement session…. bow tie, velvet ears, and an attitude to match his name.

Stephanie and Matt scouted a few favorite locations before the shoot to reflect their love of Minnesota’s summer. They were both eager to pick a few special spots near their home in Eden Prairie. I just love it when clients get so excited for their engagement shoot. They ended up choosing Lake Riley since it showcased what they enjoy most: spending time on the water.

After exploring trails, blooming cottonwoods, a rustic old house, things got a bit “steamy.” Since friends call Matt, “Leap” I asked them “leap” off the end of the dock to cool off. They were up for it!

I can’t wait for their classic, rustic wedding at A’Bulae next Spring. I’m sure Hank’s bow tie will make another special appearance!
