Dock Out, Foliage In.
Well, it’s been a quiet week in Lake Wobegon Bad Medicine Lake, Minnesota, our happy place out on the edge of the prairie.
The dock is out, which means another Fall season approaches. Nostalgia looms in the air.
This time of year I tend to enjoy a beer or two, watch football, and justify doing so because I split a few hundred calories of chopped wood. There’s nothing like seeing fruits of labor pile. Often, we work hard with little visible results. Not so with splitting wood.
Or taking the dock out.
Times like these offer reflections of many wonderful memories from this past year. We are looking forward to many memories to come, including Willy.
